As editors, we see first-hand the issues that many writers face while typing up their manuscripts. This workshop will help writers to streamline their actual document manipulation so that they can focus more on the content. Presenters Tanya Brockett and Heather Hummel will show writers a few simple tips and tricks that will make their writing life easier for all future projects! National Christian Writer's Conference in Virginia Beach, VA
July 2008, Crozet, VA—Hallagen Ink editor and presenter, Tanya Brockett, is scheduled to make another dynamic presentation entitled, "Understanding the Editing Process" at the National Christian Writer's Conference in Virginia Beach, VA in September. Brockett gives emerging writers tips on working with a copyeditor, information on navigating the flow of the manuscript through the process, and reveals common errors authors make that didn't use to be wrong! Brockett will motivate, educate, and inspire authors, while showing them how copyeditors can be their best allies.
Brockett will unveil information about her latest book, The Writer's Solution, at the conference. This book is a must have for all writers, regardless of experience. Hallagen Ink Spins Off from Parent Company
January 2008, Crozet, VA—Since its creation, Hallagen Ink had been a subsidiary of Brockett Group LLC, a small business consulting firm in Virginia. At the beginning of 2008, the Brockett Group was sold, so Hallagen Ink has been spun off on its own. Hallagen Ink still provides excellent error protection with its editorial services for authors, businesses, and writers of important text. But it now manages the distribution of Tanya Brockett's book, The Loan Solution: Nine Steps to Community Express. The Brockett Group will continue to operate and will forward book inquiries to Hallagen Ink until all transitions can be made.

Second issue of The Light MAGAZINE hits newsstands Brockett's article published therein
Hallagen Ink is the contributing editor for The Light MAGAZINE, a new publication illuminating the Central Virginia African-American Community. Rhonda Johnson Edmunds, the editor-in-chief, has created a wonderful publication that brings light and inspiration to community.
In the second issue released Summer 2007, Hallagen Ink editor, Tanya Brockett, contributed an article about financing your small business dreams. Richmond Christian Writers Conference & Book Expo, hosted by RBI Enterprise
In June 2007, Hallagen Ink editor, Tanya Brockett, presented a fun yet informative session entitled, "Presenting Yourself Well: Understanding the Editing Process."
